Save up and make your own DIY eyeshadow! Our tutorial for today is fun, creative, and will leave you wanting to make more of your own DIY eyeshadows.
DIY Eyeshadow Guide | Super Pigmented and Long-Wearing
With so many colors to choose from, eyeshadows are one of those makeup products you really need to put your money on. Just like lipsticks, the more colors you have, the better. While there are eyeshadow palettes out there, it can get pretty pricey. Also, you have to make sure that you only buy eyeshadow that blends beautifully, has smooth velvety texture, and can stay on your lids all day. So if you want to make sure that your eyeshadow has all these, I highly suggest you make your own DIY eyeshadow. Trust me, ladies, this will be well worth your time!
What You’ll Need:
Step 1: Put a bit of coconut oil.
Put a bit of coconut oil into the mixing container. For starters, one scoop will do.
Step 2: Add the beeswax.
Add some beeswax into the container as well. There’s no exact measurement for how much coconut oil and beeswax to use. But to be on the safe side, the coconut oil and beeswax should almost be the same parts except add a bit more beeswax into the mixture.
Step 3: Add the powder eyeshadow.
You can use pressed or loose eyeshadow powder here whichever you prefer. So just put the eyeshadow of your choice into the mixture.
Step 4: Heat the mixture.
Put the mixing container in the microwave and set it to 30 seconds. Take it out and mix a bit and then pop it back in the microwave for another 30 seconds. You should have a melted mixture like the photo above by now. Mix thoroughly.
Step 5: Pour the mixture.
Now, you can pour the mixture into the empty EOS lip balm container. Remember to pour the mixture on the top part of the lip balm container cause that’s where the eyeshadow will be molded.
Step 6: Cool.
Close the lip balm container with the bottom part and make sure to seal it properly. And then put the eyeshadow in the refrigerator and cool for at least 30 minutes.
Once it’s cooled, it will look like this…and all you have to do is swipe your DIY eyeshadow on your lids!

Wasn’t that fun? If you have a couple of EOS lip balms that you’re not using, this is a good way to repurpose those containers. On the other hand, if you don’t use EOS, you can always find other containers to use. This DIY eyeshadow tutorial is also great for reviving dried up eyeshadows.
